The Coach O hate...

I don't understand all the hate at Coach O. He gave us 2019. All of you young Ranters don't remember the late 80's and 90's. If in 1992, you tell me we could have what many consider THE GREATEST TEAM OF ALL TIME, and win a Natty, but the next 5 years are a "rebuild", I take it!! I lived through a 2 & 9 season. The pick 6 game at Auburn. Through Denardo trying to bring the magic back. Then losing Josh Booty to the freaking Florida Marlins. Most of this through Jim Hawthorne messing up the calls on the radio and leaving me depressed AF with sayings like "He's WIDE OPEN, no Tiger close to him...gain of 2". I LIVED it!!
Fast forward to 2018, Coach O gets Joe Burrow to come to LSU (yes HE sealed the deal), gets Joe Brady to update the offense to the RPO Spread, and gets us the best season ever. O was the head coach, it was on his watch. Give the man his due. Yes he messed the next year and a half up, but covid and the racial tensions (and ryan freaking clark) didn't help.
We moved on, and our program is back on track. I'll always love and respect O. He earned that in 2019. And when I see him I'll yell... GEAUX TIGERS!!
Ask any a&m or ole miss fan if they would take our 2019 season for a 5 year "rebuild". Hell 13 outta 16 SEC teams would take it.

O is much more likeable than miles for many reasons.

I certainly dont hate him. His meteoric rise and fall is the most Orgeron thing that could have ever happened. He sucked his last two years and deserved to be fired for his on and off the field issues, but I'll always be thankful foe 2019.

The hate comes solely off the fact that his teams fell off a damn cliff after 2019. You can blame Covid and the portal, but he was just downright lazy. He made lazy hires, couldn’t be bothered to keep a pulse on his players during the riots and was too busy taking selfies with whores in bed after sex.

Dude hated LSU and it didn’t become his dream job until he saw an opening to steal the job.
I don’t hate him but certainly don’t like him. I’ve never seen a failure of a HC still get constant run on here as a sympathetic figure people are just mean to. Why is that ?

He brought in all of the key components to give us 2019 and was a hell of a recruiter. Can't live in the past, but I'm thankful for all he did.

O was a quick rise and fall unlike miles who drug us on forever. i wanted miles fired after ole miss 2009 but all the big wigs at LSU said ron zook at UF was the example they must follow. IOW, miles must have 3 straight 4 or 5 loss seasons before they shitcan him.
chavis defense and jarett fricking Lee saved that mfers job in 2010.
we easily woulda lost UNC, UF, and UT if not for Lee and the D. It has been laid out ad nauseum as to what happened in those games.
