Livonia High School student stabbed in the neck with a pencil

Another school year, another stabbing at Livonia High School

LIVONIA — Officials in Pointe Coupee Parish are investigating a stabbing at Livonia High School that started with a fight Monday morning.
Pointe Coupee Sheriff’s deputies responded to the school on Monday, Aug. 18th for a large fight that broke out before school started. It was a large group fight, where one student was stabbed in the neck with a pencil.
The student was taken to a hospital.
After the fight, numerous students left the campus to return home. The threat has been cleared from the school as of 10 a.m.
Deputies are still investigating exactly what led up to the fight and if any arrests are pending.

How many people need to get stabbed by pencils before we start outlawing pencils? This is ridiculous!

I was actually stabbed with a pencil in 6th grade.
We had a pretty troubled kid that I was sitting next to and some other people made fun of him and jumped on me and stabbed me in the temple.
Minor injury but he got expelled. He did come and say “sorry, I was just mad and you were next to me.”
It could have (and did) happen to me.

Was the pencil concealed? Did the user have a conceal carry permit, was he taught its purpose, I knew pencils would get passed metal detectors

There are only 2 public schools in PC for high school I believe. Livonia and the STEM school which is selective enrollment. Everyone thinks of False River when they think of PC but the Town of New Roads is pretty rough in some places once you get off False River.

Feels like we had this exact same thread last year in Livonia maybe not a stabbing but a big fight where cops were involved
