We will play Samford in Biloxi and at Southeastern this fall.

The non con weekends are:

Open with Milwaukee at home.
Jacksonville against Indiana, Notre Dame, and UCF
Host Northeastern
Host Sacramento State.

Honestly one of the better non conference weekend slates we've had in a while.

Northeastern will build their entire season around that weekend at the box.

Probably. They're generally a strong program. They were 49-11 last year and lost out in the early Sunday game of the Florida State regional. 5 guys drafted off last years team.

But they were very upperclassmen heavy. Looks like they only had 2 guys hit the portal, but they aren't bringing back a lot of experience.

Either way, they're probably the best opponent we've hosted on a weekend in several years.

I wish one of the MLB teams would host an early season tournament at their spring training facility that would have Milwaukee, Cincy, Pitt, and SLU. Maybe throw Illinois Chicago in there from time to time too.

I thought they were playing in Round Rock next season?

It was announced officially last week that they would not be going to Round Rock, but instead to a different Peak Events tournament. This is confirmation that they're going to Jacksonville.

There is also a chance of a mid week game in Biloxi that same week, but that hasn't been announced yet.

Looks like the Northeastern weekend will be a round robin. We will also host Dartmouth and Grambling. We will not play Grambling, but will play Northeastern and Dartmouth twice each.

It's usually the first week of actual school. I don't know when that is though.

How Jay was able to pull off getting the best team in the baseball to visit in February is impressive.

Will be interesting, and intense, if LSU plays the Hawgs in Hawgville this season.

Why not Tech/ULL instead of Grambling/Dartmouth? Surely that would draw more fans in the off games as well as give more RPI points.

Because Tech and ULL are likely hosting people that weekend and wouldn't want to waste an opportunity to host a cold weather team to travel in-state.

Creighton is expected to be a mid week opponent this upcoming season, per Jay on the Highway to Hoover podcast.
