For the first time in the BK era ,it sounds like we have a good problem to have at cb

By all accounts the corners have looked really strong all fall camp. Mansoor Delane, Ashton stamps and PJ woodland have all had a strong camp, DJ Pickett apparently turned it up on notch in week 2 and is consistently showcasing his ridiculous athleticism, even Ja’keem Jackson apparently was starting to string together strong practices before he got banged up.

We finally have a cb room that looks like what an LSU CB room should look like. Clemson will be a strong test right off the bat to see if this room can hold their own vs elite wr rooms.

Only took Corey Raymond one offseason to replenish the talent in the room major shootout to him done a helluva Job since coming back. Got another top 100 overall stud at cb in finney coming in next year too

Got two top 200 overall commits at safety in the 26 class so far Hall and Puerter and have a shot at flipping Bradford. Confident safety will get back on track soon

“Rooms” is a seriously overused word. I heard someone ask a question about our safety room.

Because there is a room that each group meets individually. There is literally a QB room. A RB Room. A WR room. An OL room. A DB room. Etc.

Some of y'all must be insufferable in real life.

biggest mistake BK made was not getting Corey Raymond on staff immediately when he started.

AJ Haulcy will become a fan favorite this year. Guy loves contact and making plays. Honey Badger-esque.

It's short for position group, and coaches in high school, college and the pros use the term, so get over it. Better yet, embrace it!

Both parties seemed to make mistakes when Kelly was hired. Reports were that Raymond was checked out and asking for more money and Brian Kelly hired terrible replacements. It all seemed to be water under the bridge now.

I don't care if they are all in separate rooms, just be on the same damn page on game day and know how to stop a running QB!

We have LSU level talent and depth across the board on defense.

Say what you want about Raymond, but the guy could recruit the paint off the wall!

We should never have the secondary that we had the last several years. LSU should never have that problem.

Def should never have gotten to a point where we needed to get a portal cb out of Syracuse to start for us. Steeples’s HS recruiting misses set us back when it came to the cb talent pool. Kelly flat out whiffed with that hire

It’s easy to say that now, but I don’t believe we would have this vintage Raymond we are seeing both on the field and the trail if it weren’t for the time away. He had kind of gotten complacent over his last two seasons and the recruiting and coaching weren’t at the same level that we’re seeing right now. It wasn’t terrible, but it also wasn’t this.

So while it may have been a smart move to keep Raymond in 21, I’m glad Kelly didn’t because it brought us back peak Corey Raymond right now. That was worth a couple of years away.
