John "hot plate" Williams.
For those of you who may not know, there was another NBA star named John "hot rod" Williams when our JW was coming into his own. Hot rod was from BR area and went to Tulane.
Hot plate got his nickname to distinguish him from Hot Rod and oh btw he loved food.
