Central air conditioning replacement recommendations for Baton Rouge area

The OT has never let me down. Can I please get some Baton Rouge area recommendations for replacing a central AC? I understand I am about to get taken to the cleaners, but I’d like a good company for this. Thanks in advance.

Rebel Heating and Air. The bitter taste of a poor installation will remain much longer than the sweet taste of that lowest price.

Two of my friends in the A/C business, both recommend him.

I have no recommendations since I’m Florida man however, I do strongly suggest having one or possibly two portable AC units as your failsafe for when the system always breaks in the hottest month of the year.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Call Accu-temp if you want to pay twice as much as you should.

Any body but accutemp they bend you over and just stick it in
Don’t even have the common courtesy to use lube

Fortunately the house has a whole home generator prior to purchase. Very thankful

Go with a mini split system and don’t look back..

Fire and Ice is good and will fix rather than replace if feasible.

Baton Rouge Air Conditioning.
Not a very unique name but they have treated me fairly over the years.
Trane is one of the better brands but my Trane inside coil shite the bed with a leak 6 years in and the repair was $1,500 labor with Trane covering the part.
Same 4 ton R410A unit is now 13 years old and running strong but I do clean the coils annually and use a 5" whole house filter and replace the capacitors and contactor every 5 years as PM DIY which is cheap to do instead of waiting for one to fail and having a service call.

Just went through an AC issue. River City and Accutemp will absolutely frick you. Here’s two that were honest with me:
SEC - 225-571-7774
Area 51 - 225-773-1107.
There was another company that tried to rip me off as well but the 2 listed above were honest and didn’t try to upsell or mislead me in anyway.
River City and Accutemp are the same shitty people like riverside towing. Absolute fricking predators looking to take advantage of anyone they can.

Pack HVAC, bailed me out of two midsummer jams with same day service.

This seems to be happening more often. It’s unsustainable.

If you can afford it, spring for a unit with VFD, variable frequency drive. Sound and comfort level inside your home is noticeable compared to single or 2 speed units.

Tiger Air Conditioning Services
I just met the owner when I bought some suspension parts off FB marketplace from him. Third generation owner, lives in PVille.
Over 200 5-star reviews on Google.
Accutemp is owned by a Canadian Private Equity fund. (OMERS). Not local anymore, owner sold out.
I just paid $29k for a two stage ton system, new install, from Accutemp and it was rough. I feel like I overpaid. Lots of quality issues.
Southern Air is owned by private equity too. Avoid.
