Mister Mayer, can we please do something.
To start, you have 2 what I like to call “inverted speed bumps” that taken at full speed can deploy an airbag.
Second, and more important, you have one of the only roads in Baton Rouge that people regularly walk up and down and it is open ditches in both sides the majority of the way with zero shoulder. I’ve seen several cars on their sides in the ditches. Can we get the ditches covered and put some actual walking paths along both sides?
It’s only a matter of time before a kid is killed crossing at that park.

It's already on the agenda. They announced it back in 2019.

For that matter I think most of Baton Rouge doesn’t like Gardere, period. Just get rid of it all, “Mr. Mayer”.

They put a half arse sidewalk along a small stretch that is rarely used. The most foot traffic is around the light and park where there is nothing but ditch.

Nope. Check the map.
Gardere did not want to be part of St. George so they were removed from the plan - then they complained that it was racist.

There was a recent project that ran nes sidewalks on the south side of Gardere lane to that commercial area. They also added some drainage work.
I believe they should have put sidewalks on both sides and covered those deep ditches.

If the complaints around Gardere involve speed bumps and sidewalks and not murders, then that’s already a victory.

Gardere is a whole lot of Mexicans these days. They seemed to have run contained the gangbangers to those apartments on the corner of Nicholson
