For those following a long I included a little history.
May 2025- 371 Billion receipts
686 billion outlays
No one pays attention to month by month budget numbers at this time.
June 2025 -
526 Billion receipts 499 Billion outlays.
Trump turns the corner in fixing the budget according to posters. Many say this is just the beginning, others saying it's an accounting trick.
July- 338 Billion receipts 630 billion outlays -
Just checking to see if tarrifs have really solve the problem?
Appears june was an accounting trick and not a trend or related to tarrifs...

As President Trump works hard to take back our nation’s economic sovereignty, today’s Monthly Treasury Statement is demonstrating record customs duties – and with no inflation!" Bessent said.

Customs and tariff revenues have totaled $150+ billion in President Trump’s second term — leading to the first June budget surplus in nearly a decade.

I'm examining a hot issue of the time. And looking back to see who was right now that more data is available to confirm what people were speculating on previously. (although necessary data was available at that time, it was not a secret)

at the time several posters said tarrifs we're putting us into the green and a viable solution to the debt.

Can you now post JILL Biden’s and Kamala’s Treasury report from 2020-2024 so we can compare?

We don’t have a revenue problem……we have a spending problem.
Raise taxes to match expenses to balance this years budget and we will have a deficit again next year…..

Looking at a month of data is completely useless for judging tariffs.
Exchange rates, companies frontloading in anticipation of tariffs, the effects on the strength of the dollar and how it influences the gov's borrowing costs., the increase in economic output and tax revenue of the promised investments when they get spooled up etc. The list goes on and on.
The calculus is much more complicated than a simple comparison and will be debated for years.

Who cares if the numbers are bad. I rather be homeless than vote for another Democrat. Trump can crash the economy for all I care.

What on Earth are you doing bringing facts to a Tigerdroppings thread?

Were there any looming August tariff deadlines that could’ve contributed to these numbers?
