A dude that never got enough credit. Was a stabilizer for the position at the time and was just what we needed. I don’t think people realize how absolutely fricked we would have been in 2016-2017 at QB if Danny wasn’t there.

Dude definitely gave his all despite not having the most talent. Good tiger and I appreciate his service.

Sure as frick was better than the Harris/Jennings suck fest.

Really? Feels like we've had this thread like 2-3 times in the last month.

Can the admin give the OP one of those kindergarten gold star stickers for posting that's never been posted before?

He got plenty of credit… so much so people started downvoting threads started about him just like yours already. He was a good player and gave his all but some people legit thought he was one of the best quarterbacks to ever play here

I always liked guys like him. Dedicated, work hard, give it everything. Guys like that are the foundation for a great team.

Completely random to this thread. But I miss Tory Carter. Dude played pissed off ready to destroy someone, always nice to have some like that on the team to set the physicality tone

He never did seem to get the appreciation he deserved but man he saved us a lot of pain at that position

Those two were so bad. Anthony Jennings looked like he shouldn’t have been given a walk on offer, instead, he was our starter. Strange times.

I agree. Every LSU fan appreciates Danny Etling because ever LSU fan remembers:

Yes, which is laughable. He was a serviceable QB1 at the time. Nothing more, nothing less.

He was not one of the greatest ever. I don’t know why the jackasses on here have to be so dramatic and romanticize everything.

Before his time. He’d crush it in today’s game.

Also Sammy Martin and Steve Rehage. They weren't top shelf talent but they gave 110% each game. Same for Etling.
