Do you eat leftovers?

Know someone who refuses to eat leftovers.
Cook once and eat 1 or 2 more days. Tastes better. Easier.
If you don’t eat leftovers, why not?

I don’t because I never have them.

I eat leftovers until they’re gone or visibly disturbing.
It’s from growing up with parents that had depression-era parents.
This was the mandate:
Don’t buy too much and you won’t have to eat the old leftovers.
They would play it like a game of spades. Don’t order too little or too much; hit the right number so we won’t be short-handed on the original meal, or have to eat too many/much leftovers.
They did a good job with their estimates and I tend to do the same thing.
Eating healthy means that you will usually shop the perimeter of the grocer. That means your food is usually fruit/veg and meat and won’t keep
Like cheezits.
It’s the most expensive too. So my parents didn’t bulk buy like you would at Costco unless it was frozen.

I've been known to cook things just to have them as left overs. Many things are better after they sit a while.

Yes. Depends on what kind of food.
Sometimes things like grilled chicken or pork chops can get tough when re-warmed.

I am the leftover gremlin in the house. I'll give someone else's meal a day maybe two, then it's mine.
None of my family members can finish a full meal so it's an easy way to take care of lunch in a WFH scenario.

Air fryer with a little butter makes the difference...

I cook with the intention of having leftovers to bring to work for lunch.

Also a little water over leftover rice or pasta does wonders.
Or for rice you can make a quick flied lice with the leftovers and a few simple ingredients.

Some stuff is better a day or two later.

I always try to. I don't like wasting food.
Certain things are better after a day.

I'd say you can make this argument for a lot of your more stew/hearty style soups and things. Chili is better the next day too.

Gumbo is so much better leftover I'm not sure why anyone would eat it fresh.

Our leftovers are what the wife and I eat for lunch during the work week 90% of the time.
