Mine was not long after my divorce when I was talking to my ex wife and I was still kind of concerned for her well (why I dont know but whatever) and she said to be "I dont know what its like to be concerned for other people ive only ever thought about myself for my entire life"

That shite still plays through my head. Essentially I was used by her for like 5 years. Called my dad up after and told him he was right all along when he told me when we were dating that she was using me emotionally and for money.

Glad im over that shite but that still plays through my head on how shitty people who allegedly care about you can be.

You had to go to rehab in your 20s but you not acknowledging your culpability in your failed relationship is not surprising at all

She's cluster B with BPD dude. There's no helping that bitch. BPDs leave a trail of destruction wherever they go.

When my ex asked me to buy her a plane ticket to go meet her online boyfriend so she could see if the feelings were "really real"

Bye, bitch

Damn. Thats some high level narcissist stuff right there.

I'd look at it like she gifted you the rest of your life by ending a bad if not parasitic relationship.

There are so many people floating around who completely lack the ability to give and receive love effectively but who have spent their entire life figuring out how to trick everyone into thinking theyre empathetic and caring people.

Yet you thought it was a great idea to marry her. Now these are some of my favorite oblivious self owns on this site. The ones with kids are even better

“This crazy bitch sucks!!!!!”

Brother you defended to court her, then marry her, then thought it was a great idea to bust your nut and put a baby in her. Confirming you’re a moron with a terrible judge of character.

It seems like I always had an idea people could be shitty, but that there are also really good people as well. I never really expected anything from people and if they are good people then that was lagniappe. If that makes sense.

That was what my dad told me. I wasn't long into sobriety from alcohol and he said I still got off easy compared to some other guys he knows.

I grew up watching the evening news with my Dad after he got home from work (Mom and my 2 sisters would be in the kitchen, at that age mom was a housewife later worked after I was in like 4th grade). I have memories of sitting on the sofa with him and hearing/seeing the Viet Nam reporting including most of those famous images like the executions, the helicopter evacuation of Saigon with all the shooting and explosions and people dropping off the helo skids, the flamethrowers burning out the VC tunnels in the jungles, the wounded being carried off missing limbs, the dead arriving home by transport on conveyor belts in their flag draped coffins.

Then there was the footage of the veterans getting spit on in the airports.

This during my ages 3-5 or so.

Oklahoma City bombing

I was really young and just couldn’t believe someone could do that.

Now we see atrocities pretty much every day, but that was the first time I remember being repulsed
