They basically rented the mansions and filmed there for a week

Didn't they do an episode at Master P's house in CCL?

MTV went to shite when they started doing "reality TV". It was awesome when they did the top 20 countdown after school.

I remember avidly watching TRL in the early 2000s trying to impress this girl I liked at the time. She was one to keep up with that type of stuff so I needed some material to use in casual conversation.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. episode wasn’t fake. That was his actual home.

Pretty sure the Method Man episode was 100% real.

"and over here is the de las casas kitchen"

funniest and best episode in that whole series.

You could pretty much tell who was fake and who was real.

For some reason I always remember the Sisqo episode. Dude had an absurd estate with Greek statues and shite. I thought to myself no way this dude got this wealthy off the Thong Song.

Everything on television is fake.

Once you realize that, you'll be much happier.

All I know is that when Chip and Joanna told one of their "clients" that it was going to cost $10,000.00 to dig a trench for a drain line for a new bathroom I lost it. I wouldn't let those grifting arse frickers build me a dog house.
