Red Dress Run New Orleans

Where's the OT meet up today?
We're getting brunch at 11am since we're obviously not doing the race at 10:30. Maybe make our way to Lafitte's.
Likely will run into a few OTers before, on the way near St Ann Street and question what bar they're coming from.
Anyway first round is on me baws. Probably the safest Bourbon Street will be this year outside of the Super Bowl events.

People still participate in this nonsense?

It's gotten bigger since post covid. Crowd peaked around 2015-16 but it's still holding strong.
It's usually your best opportunity to fight someone from the Westbank or Lutcher.

Yes, people still participate in day drinking and having fun. The horror.
I won’t be out there, but RDR is always fun. Have fun and stay cool baws.

Yes there are still lgbt people in Louisiana and “men” that wear dresses
Jeff Landry hasn’t rounded them all up yet

The boomer mentality is to reject all the fun things you did when you were young.

I heard a former sheriff and some elected officials may be out there today. Just saying

Red Dress run, letting the closet queens enjoy their temporary outing since 1987...
You can always tell by the way they accessorize...
These are the drunks doing it for the laughs...

I'm guessing anywhere but the starting line, 3.1 is a bit of a hike for this group.

95 is what it'll feel like at 3pm. That's average temps for the event

I went to it once wearing a red polo. It’s gayer looking than I expected.
Still plenty of normal people having fun, just seems like they could do so under a less gay theme.
