Got a bit more comfortable the longer he was in.

quote:

Milroe completed six of 10 passes for 61 yards in the air and ran the ball three times for 38 yards, including a 27-yard run which was the longest of the game for any player. He also had another 11-yard run called back because of holding.

If Milroe ends up the starter and plays well, there will be a lot of folks that point out the Saints could have gotten Milroe in the third and not have wasted a 2bd when Shough crashes. Look forward to the downvotes from the fans so sycophantic they would fellate Loomis for free.

It was the first preseason game of the year. Absolutely nothing can be gleaned from it.

Imagine being a grown man and thinking game 1 of the preseason means anything

Only idiots who want to be miserable and always find something to complain about will be pointing this out. And they will find something else to complain about if it’s not this.

You mean he started to look decent after a while of being in against the 3rd and 4th string players?

Literally every team in the league could have drafted him as well. They didn't. If the Seahawks got a steal, good for them. It's as stupid as saying the Saints could have gotten Sanders. Yes, and so could 31 other teams. Multiple rounds over. Sometimes you get a diamond in the rough with a second or beyond round QB. Usually, you don't. After the first round, and often even then, it's hope, guess, and luck.

Saints felt they got the better player, at least for their system. It doesn't always work out, but that's not a facepalm. It's just what happens. If Neal turns out to be a starting talent running back as a rookie, does that mean every team that drafted a running back instead of him wasted a pick? No, we just got a steal.

I’m a big fan of Milroe. It will obviously take a creative offense to make him work in the nfl but we are starting to see it all over the nfl. Lamar, Hurts, Josh Allen etc… Take a great athletic QB and build and offense around him. And for those that would criticize his accuracy, he had a higher completion percentage than Shough.

Tanner McKee looked like prime
Peyton manning against half the bengals first string last night. Could probably have gotten him for a sixth round pick in the offseason from the eagles.

Was that a huge mistake?

Jalen Milroe is much worse than Bryce Young, and Bryce Young is a bad NFL QB.

It’s probably more that they would like to see him actually play a game before declaring that he’s going to crash. I don’t know, seems kind of reasonable.
