Video shows the chaos on board Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas after a glass panel on a water slide shattered mid-ride, injuring one guest and sending water pouring into a public area.
The footage shows startled passengers screaming in fear as water cascades from the slide above. Several people can be heard shouting, "Stop the slide. Stop the slide," as the incident unfolds.
In a statement, Royal Caribbean confirmed that an adult guest was injured when the acrylic glass broke off in the slide while the guest was inside. The cruise is expected to return to Miami this Saturday.

The woman suffered stab wounds to her upper body and was reported to be in stable condition, police said.

That is a pretty lofty height to fall from. Couldn't have felt good. Hope they aren't too fricked up.

Why are they all screaming like that? 
I get that someone fell, but they sounded terrified of the water itself coming from the slide.

They are yelling to make sure no one else goes down the slide, as I imagine it could be hard to see the issue from the top.
I'm also wondering based on the angle if someone sort of "hopped" into that slide and made first contact at the turn, causing a whole lot more pressure at that point than anticipated.

I originally rolled my eyes at the "screaming in fear" mention but after watching it it makes sense - they were trying to keep the attendants from sending some kid down it and rightfully assumed whoever was up there probably wouldn't be able to hear them otherwise

To each their own but I can’t say I’ve ever understood the appeal of cruises. Maybe an Alaskan cruise or something like that but just floating around the Caribbean for a week? Not for me

Lawsuits incoming. 400lb fatty hitting that transition section. Clear acrylic just couldn’t take it. Need to make those out of bullet proof glass now. Culcha should be more familiar with that.
