Stephen Miller -- 20 to 30 House Democrat seats would not even exist if it weren't for the Census counting illegal aliens.

That was the goal all along. Action needs to be taken to reverse this.

I’d pay cash money to see Crockett gave her seat plucked.

If allowed naturally without all their cheating, the Democrat Party would have gone the way of the Whigs a long time ago.

That is why Texas is so big. They will go to the mat there.

Texas and Florida are second and third in pure numbers of illegal immigrant residents. As a percent of state population, illegals in those states are a higher percentage than in California.

So, Stephen, how many GOP seats would not exist?

Do not misunderstand. Illegal immigration is an issue that needs to be addressed, but to pretend that it benefits only Dem states is pure demagoguery.

Including illegal immigrants in the count for purposes of Congressional apportionment is bad policy, as are birthright citizenship for the offspring of illegal immigrants and direct election of Senators.

But the Constitution is clear on all three points.

In each case, Amendment is the only legit remedy.

Do you question the fact that Texas and Florida benefit in the apportionment process, due to the number of non-citizens in their populations?

I wouldn't be surprised if it's even more than 30.

They aren't specifying state apportionment but rather the balance of Dem versus Rep seats. You can't assume that CA losing a seat would net a pickup for Republicans or that TX losing a seat would net a pickup for Dems. If illegals are inflating the population counts in places like Houston, Dallas, Charlotte, etc. then a recount of legal citizens would impact those specific blue seats, even if some red states lost total seats.

Now where those recalibrated chips would fall on the broader electoral map would require some high level analysis.

And let's be honest here. The reason Dems are screaming bloody murder and fighting this tooth and nail is because they KNOW it's going to hurt their numbers. I'm skeptical of a 20-30 shift but I feel pretty confident which way the needle would move.

It's true. And the Dims know it. That's why evil fricksticks like Carville are freaking out and demanding that representatives be given to P.R. and D.C..

If the bloc gets cleaned up nationwide, Democrats are dead for at least a few generations.

you are almost certainly correct. While Texas and Florida may constitute two of the top three states in illegal residents, solid GOP states only constitute (as I recall) three or four of the top 10.

So emotional.

As I recall, California is estimated to have 1.8 million illegal residents, and a total population of approximately 39mm.

Texas is estimated to have a population of 1.6 million illegal residents, among a population of approximately 31mm.

Florida is approximately 1.2 million illegals, among about 23mm total residents.
