Trump to order new census that excludes undocumented

“People who are in our Country illegally WILL NOT BE COUNTED IN THE CENSUS,” Trump added.
The president previously sought to omit undocumented immigrants from the census and tried unsuccessfully to add a citizenship question to it during his first term in office.

“Lie” is a criminal offense in many instances. As it should be re something as consequential as control of the US Congress. People who never contributed a single penny to the National Treasury can vote themselves as much as they will, from those who have worked their whole life. That dog won’t hunt.

I believe this is just another Trump head fake since article two of the constitution says a census shall be undertaken every TEN years.

It doesn’t say it can't happen more often. Just every ten as a minimum.

If Trump succeeds in fixing the census, it will be a gamechanger and the impact will last for generations. Expect every form of resistance to this including lawsuits, injunctions and possibly violence.

Did you see ONLY every ten years, cause I didnt see ONLY every ten years. He is using the same process to collect the info so what is the issue other than illegals wont be overly represented in congress?

Not sure why you are reacting that way. I like what Trump is doing about illegal immigration, I just want it done constitutionally. As someone wrote above, by the time this makes its way through the courts it will be about time to get ready for the 2030 census anyway, which needs to start to get readied in 2027.

Likely not constitutional, at least the way he's phrased it. The Constitution clearly says that the census is to get a count of the people, not just citizens. Now, don't count them towards representation in Congress, but it's important to have an accurate count of how many are actually here. Separate the numbers out by citizen and illegal if you have to to make that work.

They need those numbers inflated for federal funding also. Less tax payer funded dollars going to hire ESL teachers that contribute to the union which donates a butt-load of money to the Dem Party.
This will be a game changer if he can get that done!

That’s just a start. There is a long list of potential charges stemming from lying to the government about official documents.
