Fort Stewart is apparently on lockdown with an active shooter. 5 victims reported so far.

Meh. I'm not so sure. Clinton pretty thoroughly defanged all servicemembers on base. Unless you're at the range, you're generally not armed on a military base.*
More likely "fog of war" impacting the accuracy of the reporting.

Only second brigade locked down. However all gates are closed. This is a base with 21,000 personnel.
There is always helicopter traffic in the air around the base. My daughter’s farm is over near Statesboro. Used to flyovers on the weekends.
