Good morning baws and bawettes.

On this day in history:

1787
In Philadelphia, delegates to the Constitutional Convention begin debating the first complete draft of the proposed Constitution of the United States.

1806
After a thousand years the Holy Roman Empire came to its official end, with the secession of its confederated states, when Emperor Francis II of Austria put down the imperial crown.

1825
Bolivia declared its independence from Spain.

1890
Convicted murderer William Kemmler became the first person to be executed by electric chair; he was put to death in Auburn State Prison, New York.

1926
Gertrude Ederle, age 19, of New York became the first woman to swim the English Channel, breaking the men's record by nearly two hours.

1940
Estonia lost its independence when the Soviet Union annexed the country.

1945
Atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima
On this day in 1945, the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan—the blast killed more than 70,000 people and destroyed most of the city—in an effort to hasten the end of World War II.

1962
After 300 years of British rule, Jamaica became an independent country within the Commonwealth of Nations.

1965
U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Voting Rights Act, which sought to overcome legal barriers at the state and local levels that prevented African Americans from exercising their right to vote.

1969
The U.S. Army announces that Colonel Robert B. Rheault, Commander of the Fifth Special Forces Group in Vietnam, and seven other Green Berets have been charged with premeditated murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the summary execution of a Vietnamese national, Thai Khac Chuyen, who had served as an agent for Detachment B-57. Chuyen was reportedly summarily executed for being a double agent who had compromised a secret mission.

1990
The UN Security Council imposed economic sanctions on Iraq, ruled by Saddam Hussein, for its invasion of Kuwait four days earlier.

1996
At the Palace in Los Angeles, the hugely influential punk rock band the Ramones played their last concert.

2012
NASA's robotic vehicle Curiosity (also called Mars Science Laboratory) landed on Mars and soon began transmitting images of the planet's surface.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!

Morning everyone.

Hope everyone is doing well today. We’re almost in reach of the weekend again so don’t let off the gas.

Hope everyone has a great and productive day.

Good morning, folks.

We ate the last of the ribs last night. I wish there were more.

Anyone else watching the new SEC doc on Netflix?

It is kinda boring. I hate the goofy drama buildup.
