Darryl Strawberry is repping LSU at Citi Field

Apparently he visits Angola prison as part of a gospel outreach program for death row inmates. I didn't know this until a few minutes ago.

I met him once in an elevator in Savanah, Ga. I was holding my son, who was about 3. My son had been developing a shriek that could shatter glass. When we were in the elevator together, my son let loose. We reached our floor and Darryl Strawberry held the door open for us. I asked him, “Still better than the Daaaarryl! chants?” as we exited. I dont remember if it was him or doc but Keith Hernandez tells a story on their 30 for 30 about walking onto the bus and seeing doc ,I think it was, crouched down behind a seat in the back of the bus with just a little of his face visible behind the seat ,he said he looked like a scared cat with gigantic pupils. he wouldn't get off the bus..

thats got to be about a week of doing non stop cocaine or meth without sleeping.
