Last time I was this stoked for a horror movie, it was Longlegs and that movie was a major letdown and not that scary. Hereditary was the last true great horror imo. Still need to check out Bring Her Back though.

Anyone get lucky enough to go to an early screening of Weapons? Trying to avoid the latest trailers as well.

Looking forward to it. I didn’t know Pascal was also signed on for this one

Holy shite never seen an actor go from pretty well liked to basically hated in such a short amount of time. He’s in that Tom Cruise Oprah Scientology phase right now, but worse. Red Viper and Narcos Pedro were awesome.

Well they cast Josh Brolin for his role so we got an upgrade

Regardless,..I'll be at the theater with a buzz going. I love having an independent theater in walking distance.

Wish i owned a theater,..the shite id run...and ud let local artists create posters.

Also would let an audience poll pick a film each month

I'm in the same boat as you. I always get my hopes up based on great reviews, only to be disappointed. Watched Together this past week and was let down again. I can't remember the last horror film I really, REALLY liked.

Considering the bidding war this movie commanded it should be good.

It’s my favorite horror of the year. I will never be able to look at the Mom from Paddington the same again.

Going to check out Weapons on Thursday in IMAX although it doesn’t seem like a movie that needs an IMAX release.

My 2025 horror rankings so far.

Bring Her Back
Sinners
28 Years Later
The Monkey
Together

I know you mean REALLY but there have been some pretty good-great horror films over the last years. We live in a golden age of it.

I read the screenplay a while back and it was okay but that's it. I literally never thought about it again until the first trailer dropped.

There may be some debate about when the golden age of horror happened but I do know it’s absolutely not currently.

Got IMAX tix this weekend, very excited but will need a beer to get thru it. I am not a horror movie person but this was too good looking to pass up.

Julia Garner is enough to make it worthwhile…
