2024-25 Visit Norman Visitors Guide
I know there was a thread recently on those from LSU looking on what to do and where to go for when LSU visits Oklahoma this fall.
Here is a Visit Norman PDF to scroll through and it will also cover areas to see up the road in downtown Oklahoma City and other areas.
Norman to Oklahoma City is basically a jog. Everything is connected. If this PDF was posted already, my apologies. I just want to make sure the LSU fans are well prepared in advance so they can have a great time in seeing what they can.

Thank you for this, Oklahomey.

There is one hotel within walking distance of campus. If you stay anywhere else, you have to drive to the game. If you are driving, I think I'd stay in Bricktown in OKC rather than a hotel along I-35 in Norman. Norman is basically a suburb of OKC now. It's like staying in Dallas rather than staying in Arlington for a game at Jerry World. Norman is a nice suburban town, but not really a tourist destination.

Just need to know where to eat and drink!

OKC is sneaky a pretty awesome town with some amazing restaurants. Not a ton of experience in Norman itself outside of the stadium which is also awesome

My wife knows people in Mustang. From my understanding, that's not too far.

Just go find a dispensary they are all around the city, don't forget the med card.

Bricktown, Downtown OKC, Moore (just north of Norman) have several hotel options. The drive to get anywhere is definitely not painful and is easily manageable. There are many options downtown OKC. Also, if you get a chance, go see the OKC Bombing Memorial. It’s a must see.
You Tiger fans definitely know a great time and I hope OKC and Norman can live up to your expectations.

Wife played at OU. Been to several non conference and big12 games in Norman and always enjoyed it. Very enthusiastic crowd mostly standing all game. Still less wild which you could expect in comparison. The biggest difference I could notice is the lack of tailgating.
Cooking gumbo for 20-30+ OU people that day. Staying in Edmond.

Reserve a Uber because they have no parking unless you pay to park in someone's yard. I'd be cautious because those Oklahoma mullets will vandalize your car

Just stayed at The Noun a few weeks ago… very nice, would highly recommend. Walking distance to stadium and campus. Several Casino’s in the area.

You’ll be paying to park pretty much anywhere. The Lloyd Noble Center south of the stadium about a mile has free parking. You can walk or have a shuttle take you to Jenkins and Lindsay, the intersections for the stadium.
The tailgating scene is decent but nothing like LSU. I just want to find some of you down there and have some creole/cajun cuisine. You folks know food!!!

Norman is a vast wasteland. Civilization starts south of Winstar

I used to go to a conference in Norman every year. The campus and area around campus are very cool. I always enjoyed going to Norman.

Admittedly, it's been a while since I went to a game in Norman, but I always liked to park in the residential neighborhood West of campus, around McKinley Elementary School. There are some frats that run parking operations over there (had a cousin who was in one of these frats, and, not being much of a football fan, he volunteered to man the parking lot).
90% of game attendees park south of the stadium (many in the aforementioned Lloyd Noble lot), and when they try to leave, are funneled into Highway 9, so that becomes a parking lot. If you park in the residential neighborhood I suggest, you can get to I-35 on Lindsey Street, or, even better, go a little north to Main Street, and get on your way back to OKC or the hotels along I-35.

Spent a week there, specifically in Bricktown and downtown area, and couldn’t disagree with you more. Boring as hell and the restaurants were either franchises or the local restaurants were mid at best.

This is the correct answer. I would only go back for a wedding for death in the family.

Got a VRBO house a mile from the stadium for the LSU game, so we can walk that easily. My daughter graduated from OU spring of '23, so we have a tour guide, plus my future SIL graduated from OU a year before she did. I think they both lived at Campus Corner.
*now I need to source 4 tickets. If I can't get them from TD will just go to the open market. Also, typically there are lots of student tickets available on this weekend because of Thanksgiving break.
