August 31, 2025 - you wake up and read that LSU beat Clemson 45-3 the night before

I think 45-3 @ Clemson would warrant crazy high expectations.

I think it's more about the UGA Clemson game last year.

The questions is which of those two teams made the playoffs? It just counts as 1 win regardless. We'd be ecstatic, for sure. I don't care about the score, I just want to start the season with a win.

I’d wake up and realize it was just a dream. 38-31 seems more realistic but we will see.

Happy with a sense of relief because the stigma of losing every season opener since 2019 is finally off LSU’s back. I’ll still keep expectations in check because it’s a long season but at least it will begin on a positive note.

That would have to be the most dominating win over a top 5/6 opponent in LSU history right? Especially at their stadium?

Yes, I remember losing to Tuck Fulane the next game, 31-28 in the rain.

It was my last game as a GBFTL Bass Drummer in Tiger Stadium.

I hated Tuck Fulane just like Alabama and that game was a "Closing out my Tiger Band/LSU Career" disaster........

All my brain cells are still active and alive because I don't drink alcohol and all those LSU/GBFTL memories are still right there at the surface for immediate recall at any time ...............
