Week in review:
- Deadline acquisitions include: Carlos Correa, Jesus Sanchez, and Ramon Urias. No pitching added
- We finally ended the streak of surrendering the first run to opponents, falling 1 game short of the MLB record
- Took 2/3 vs Washington. Bats looked like they were turning it around
- Embarrassing sweep in Boston where starting pitching only gave up 4ER
- 2-18 RISP. This continues to be a trend during Espada’s tenure as a manager. Cintron and Snitker are worthless hitting coaches and should seek other employment opportunities outside of this organization
- Cam Smith is 6 for his last 62
- Chandler if you're reading this, you're still a bitch and your media credential is useless.

Injury updates:
- E-sock: out for the season
- Yordan: who the hell knows
- Dezenzo: N/A no update
- Meyers: N/A no update
- Spaghetti: will start vs Marlins
- Javier: Space Cowboys. Expected to return after Spaghetti
- Walter: N/A no update
- J6 France: Space Cowboys
- Luis Garcia: Space Cowboys
- LMJ: honestly who cares

Looking ahead:
3 @ Miami
Off-day Thursday
3 vs NYY

I find it really hard to care.. but... it's an east coast game on a slow Monday so I'll probably tune in and regret it after the 10th runner left on base.

Another positive for us central time zone baws is that this disgusting game will be over by like 8:30 and we can have a palate cleanse before going to bed

Captured most of this in my weekly review. Here’s the official report from the team

Really surprised Cam remains in the lineup with his 6-62 slump

I would get the surgery now but that’s just me. I can see this dragging into the offseason, then having to finally get the surgery and missing the first half of 2026

Rest up, sweet E Sock. We all appreciate your willingness to help this year. Can't say the same for others (Looking at you, YORDAN!). But I'd rather you at 100% next year than trust this medical staff getting you back for the end of the season....

On the surface, this seems like a risky gamble when it comes to being healthy to start next season. Of course, if it's the opposite of what the Astros medical staff recommended, it's probably the right decision.

Happy Birthday Red Rooster

"I don't take anything to alter the physiological condition of my body. It's running too perfectly on 82 percent body fat."
- Doug Rader, during his 11-year big league playing career (1967-1977)
While the "Red Rooster" Doug Rader has long been known for his sense of humor, he was a serious enough baseball player to win five straight Gold Glove Awards at third base (1970-1974) with the Houston Astros. Following his playing days, Rader was taken seriously enough to carve out a seven-year managerial career with the Texas Rangers, Chicago White Sox and California Angels.
Still, Rader is often most remembered for his zany antics like when he advised kids to eat baseball cards to digest all the information printed on them or when he'd hide up on the ceiling pipes in the clubhouse and spit tobacco juice down on people.
"I always had a pure joy of playing," Rader once told Sports Illustrated. "But it's not that way for everyone. When you play baseball as a kid, baseball is your outlet. When baseball becomes one's livelihood, there has to be a different kind of outlet to help retain the joy and keep the game fun to play. Otherwise, it swallows some guys up. Most of those crazy, childish things I did when I played were ground wires; they helped diffuse the everyday tension."

Carlito has had a lot of loud outs. It’ll be nice once some of them find some gaps
