Dooley is set to run against incumbent Jon Ossoff after speculation grew about a potential run. He is also running on a campaign slogan of “Georgia First.”

Derek Dooley, aka Mr. Excitement

This will ensure Ossoff, who is utterly useless as a Senator, gets reelected.
Dooley has no business as a US Senator. He's not half as intelligent as Tuberville.

Is the cupboard really that bare in Georgia that the best Senate candidates they can muster in very winnable races are really ex-sports personalities with no other resume?

Kemp is also running. Dooley won’t make it out of the primary.

Coach O, come on down and unseat Cassidy!

Running for what?

Kemp ain’t running. That’s been known since May.

Kemp is not running and is supporting Dooley. Kemp’s support comes with an effective ground game. If the economy is decent under Trump then Dooley has a good shot at winning.

Will he still wear the orange pants?

No he’s not. Therein lies the rub. Kemp would’ve won it hands down. Edit : and love him or hate him, he would’ve voted the right way 95% of the time as opposed to 0% of the time like Ossoff

Valid point but he was a practicing lawyer before starting a coaching career and has a lot of experience in college and the NFL so not exactly like Herschel.

What in your mind is the "best" Senate candidates? Serious question...
I think Dooley is a poor choice but he does start off with name recognition...

Has Mike Collins announced? If Collins is running, the old Trump v Kemp feud might be back.
