My kids, 15 and 17, have not. Crazy shite. Curious what the age is where kids never had the opportunity to crank up a window?

a bigger break through was the invention of power steering

Sure. Hell, I rolled up a window with a pair of vice grips because the handle broke off.

I'm 31, and I definitely grew up with those type of cars. That being said, I don't think I have been in any of those type cars in my adulthood, however.

I have an 03’ corolla that I use as my everyday. It’s basic, simple, and gets the job done. Call me poor and simple, but I love not having to worry about a screen or other fancy features.
I want the Japanese Land Cruiser J70 bc of this.

Yep
I’ve push-started a standard transmission
I’ve used a bumper jack
I’ve “cracked” the triangle corner window for “air conditioning”.
And I’ve hand-cranked the back window on a station wagon with wood panels!

What model? Crank windows were pretty scarce by the early 2000's.

What kind of question is that.
Yes
And I’ve also used a phone with the spinning numbers
And had to stand outside turning the antenna while someone screamed left right back a little left , ok stop don’t move it.

My dad was a firm believer that power accessories were trouble waiting to happen. All of his cars into this century had manual windows, locks, antennas. He felt the same way about automatic transmissions, but accepted those on his vehicles.
