Two angles to approach this from.
1. No one knows about it but they should
2. People know about it but don’t value it as high as they should
Make sure you mention which when providing your recommendations

Close to many of us - Vicksburg. Only sees like 600k visitors per year.
Acadia National Park in Maine sees 3m for reference of visitor disparity.

Vicksburg isn’t a national park.
But I’m sure you’re right about it being lightly visited.

Congaree in South Carolina. One of the last stands of untouched old growth forrest in the US. Some of those loblolly pines are absolutely massive.
Also has one of the only instances of synched fireflies in the US. Really cool experience.

You serious, Clark?
It's a National Military Park managed by the National Park Service.

Chattahoochee-Oconee Forest is pretty spectacular and doesn't have as much traffic.

Maybe so, but not one 63 national parks as designated by NPS

Folks just say this because there's nothing else up that way. If Yellowstone is the Disney World of National Parks, then this NP is Fun Fair Park at best. The whole park can be seen in 2 hours.

That place is eerily beautiful. Parts of it look fake it is so perfect.

Would have been Zion back in the day but everyone finally discovered it. I will say Acadia up in Maine.

My dad's National Park Pass worked there when we went last month.
