Like the Illuminati or the ivy league people that put people in power. I am not versed in it, but it seems to be that a lot of people do.

Yes, they absolutely exist. Now how much power to do they hold, that can be debated.

What do you mean debated? It’s truth. They select the ones they know control will make them become successful. These clubs wouldn’t be known if all their members were frick ups.

No, I don't think they have the power they think they do if they even exist.

There are secretive orders within all major religions and fraternal organizations, both of which are usually dedicated to the betterment of their respective members, communities, and society as a whole thru efforts such as charitable giving, volunteerism, et cetera.

Carroll Quigley (November 9, 1910 – January 3, 1977) was an American historian and theorist of the evolution of civilizations. He is remembered for his teaching work as a professor at the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, and his seminal works, The Evolution of Civilizations: An Introduction to Historical Analysis, and Tragedy And Hope; A History Of The World In Our Time, in which he states that an Anglo-American banking elite have worked together for centuries to spread certain values globally.
quote:

Tragedy and Hope: A History of the World in Our Time is a work of history written by former Georgetown University professor and historian Carroll Quigley. The book covers the period of roughly 1880 to 1963 and is multidisciplinary in nature though perhaps focusing on the economic problems brought about by the First World War and the impact these had on subsequent events. While global in scope, the book focuses on Western civilization.

The book has attracted the attention of those interested in geopolitics due to Quigley's assertion that a secret society initially led by Cecil Rhodes, Alfred Milner and others had considerable influence over British and American foreign policy in the first half of the twentieth century. From 1909 to 1913, Milner organized the outer ring of this society as the semi-secret Round Table groups.

The book is written based on archived files from the Council on Foreign Relations.

The railroad magnates of yor had power as did many other like steel magnates, They set up their family for generations or wealth, not political or global power. The claims in these organizations are a fraud and don't exist.

While traveling from Louisiana to Boston, I found an old copy of The Pickwick Papers in a quaint Stratford bookshop.

Do not reply to this if you know

Are masons considered secret societies?

If not, then I guess my general answer is that I think its possible but without evidence I can't say for sure.

Not so secret if we have all heard of them and no proof or power. No society stays secret there is always a disgruntled whistle blower.

Secret societies exist. Do they have the power accredited to them? Maybe.
