Pretty objective assessment from an Aggie Analyst about our LSU football team this season. Playoffs or bust.

it’s interesting to hear all the portal guys named one by one like that. We got a LOT of dudes from the portal.

He didn’t even mention DJ Pickett, FWIW.

People are going to expect them to mesh and play as a unit from the start and then when it doesn’t quite work out that way, CBK will catch ALLLLL the heat. It’s insane

Well in year 4, paying 10 million per year, LSU is expecting to be elite level in year 4

I support coach Kelly, but this year with senior QB coming back, the LSU fan base needs to be involved in the back end of the season

meaning we need to be highly ranked and relevant in the playoff picture

Miles continued what Saban built for many years

Coach O restored us and then he let us drop like a bad habit

Kelly is trying to get us back on track

I understand it takes time but isn't this the year to put up or shut up?

The defense better come to play

My only point was that y’all can’t expect the secondary unit to be gelled 100% in game one

Takes $$$ to make $$$$. This season they actually had a little money to get some players. It is just a matter of getting to the top half of the conference in NIL.
It was the culmination of everything that happened when Kelly took over. Not the same environment as even when O left.
Kelly has given 1 million the last 2 or 3 years to the school so while you’re spouting 10MM, take a look at coaches salaries and see where he ranks at 8875 which puts him just above Veneables
SEC football coaches salaries in 2024

Kirby Smart, Georgia, $13,282,580
Steve Sarkisian, Texas, $10,600,000
Kalen DeBoer, Alabama $10,000,000
Brian Kelly, LSU $9,975,000
Mark Stoops, Kentucky, $9,013,600
Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss, $9,000,000
Eli Drinkwitz, Missouri, $9,000,000
Josh Heupel, Tennessee, $9,000,000
Brent Venables, Oklahoma, $8,152,000
Billy Napier, Florida, $7,370,000
Mike Elko, Texas A&M, $7,000,000
Hugh Freeze, Auburn, $6,728,100
Sam Pittman, Arkansas, $6,498,000
Shane Beamer, South Carolina, $6,401,996
Jeff Lebby, Mississippi State, $4,250,000
Clark Lea, Vanderbilt, $3,189,744

Really good analysis. The Oline is where everyone is fooled from last season. Just go look at pass blocking when Dellinger went down in the first half versus TAMU. That started the skid. It wasn’t surprising because there was zero run game all season and then you lost pass protection.

Not as much pressure as everyone thinks. He's about to sign 3 or 4 five stars. You don't fire a coach doing that. The Oline will be fine and I think The Def will be the best we've had in 10 years - at least on paper. I think Baker will have them playing at a high level. If I am right, the pressure is off Nuss to pull rabits out of a hat like he played like last year.

I thought the guy did a great job. We have the pieces to win it all. We have the questions to go 9-3.

That was a very well thought out astute description of our team. Listening to that it was almost hard to tell he was homosexual. It was funny how in his own gay way he described Pyburn basically as a high motor guy that brings his lunch pail to practice everyday. Ha ha. Thats is such a stereotypical description of a player that im glad we don’t get from folks on here
