Hope y’all got her on birth control

May I ask her age? Has anything else unusual or concerning happened to her or a friend recently? Has she been, or is she now, overly emotional? I know that to some extent that's an automatic "yes" as she's a teenage girl, but are her reactions exaggerated in comparison to what you'd previously describe as normal?

You were absolutely correct to let her know how potentially dangerous it is to sneak out and wander around, but did you "read her the riot act" for her foolishness?

As a dad of what are now two adult women (36 & 38), we butted heads plenty when they were younger, but they never said they hated me. I offer this respectfully, but if you didn't come down on her too harshly, your daughter's response seems to be a big overreaction on her part. So if you think you acted/responded appropriately, what led to her extreme statement?

As an outsider, it's easy for me to ask questions. I mean no criticism or disrespect, as I don't live in your house and don't know other specific info about this incident. I do, though, wish you luck and hope you can resolve things very soon.
