Smart Home Gym

Has anybody tried the Tonal or Speediance smart home gyms? Threads on Reddit make them sound like game changers for people who don’t have space for an actual home gym and don’t have time to get to a gym. Both are very expensive.

Get gymnastics rings and a weight belt. Much cheaper and you can make some great progress. I don't know anything about the equipment you asked for but aren't they subscription based? That alone would turn me away

I have a Tonal, and if it broke tomorrow I would get another one. I never had much gym expierience so having the demonstrations was great for me, I also really like the stats they keep. It keeps a strength score for your lower, mid, upper, and overall body and I really like seeing the progression. As far as space goes, it really is just hang on a wall where you have room to move the arms out, doesn't take much at all.

this, if need be buy a over the door pull up bar like the rogue, get set of gym rings and get after it. can do a ton, their our programs too with just them, and you are out less than $200.
then you can add a weight vest, some adjustable DBs and be in much less than a smart gym. If you like working out at home, after 2 years of being consistent, then get a smart gym.

one of my friends uses a tonal and he's in really good shape. He's more of a runner so the tonal programs are what he likes. He's not a max set of 3 type of guy. I don't think that I would enjoy the workouts that he does on it but that probably means I should be doing them.

Only have time to make sure they’re up to date on the latest season of Love Island and watch 3 hours of tik tocs

It HAS to be a bit. It just HAS to. He's attempting to be el Gaucho and doing a very poor job of it. That, or he's just one of the most miserable people that's ever walked the earth.

Then why do you bite every time?

Boredom, mostly. And also on the off chance you weren't doing a bit.
I'll quit biting.

These look cool but magnetic resistance scares the shite out of me.
