Here’s how and why our kids can’t buy a house. Thanks Obama.

So in summary, the bailout from 2008 is why our kids can’t afford homes. Is that the premise?

It’s hard to imagine a worse approach than Trump’s. Housing prices are already extremely unaffordable — so let’s start a trade war that spikes the 10-year yield (and also print a ton of money) and drives up material costs, while also deporting the very people who build homes, making labor even more expensive

Bush was guilty too. I disagree with Dore about TARP. We rewarded recklessness and forever signaled that reckless actions of banks and wall street will always be bailed out.

The "generation of responsibility" made a huge mess and forced their grandkids to clean it up.

The boomer approach: use magic pill or bandaid to mask the problem and let someone else deal with it later

Thank you Trump for finally fixing the root issues

When did QE stop? Was it prior to January 2017 or did it continue the entire first Trump admin?

This is on Bush, Obama, and Trump. Biden to a lesser extent but QE ended during his admin (not by choice, so he doesn't get credit for the QE ending)

SO - your solution is in line with the DEM's - import 3rd world humanity, the most of whom go directly to the welfare lines, and the ones who do work drive down the wages to 3rd world values - while tolerating the increased poverty-driven crimes that blossom in the 'sanctuary cities' with human debris living & defecating on the streets - with their only way of 'earning' money is thru sex trafficking or dealing in drugs.

THAT is your desire?? - only the rich and powerful want such a population - and THEY are so self-centered they don't care if the next generation has a chance of getting out of their ghettos.

and your only solution is to "tax the rich" to provide more welfare which only accelerates the problem.

And why do "they" promote this idiocy?? - because they cannot convince any NORMAL thinking people to vote for them so they must DILUTE THE VOTER ROLLs with human debris whose only way for existence is to live off the scraps the elites give them.

/\ stupid shite for brains /\

When did you buy your house? When did you pay it off?

His point was that Trump didn't stop this and added other variables (trade war, increasing costs of material/labor, etc.)

my kid bought a house 2 years ago he's 30 and makes 160k a year. you're at that stage of life where you realize that some of the kids you graduated from high school or college with are going to be much more successful than you are. that's a "you" problem not a "we" problem. look on the bright side jethro you'll own nothing and like it and nobody cares! if you're looking for a friend in this country you need to get a dog.

Trump has signed off on like $8-9T of deficit spending in his 4.5 years in office. It was like $5-5.5T in his first term and another $3T thus far this term

Point out the flaws in my logic. 95% of the people that build homes around me are Latino. What has Trump done to lower housing prices in his 4.5 years in office.

We had a guy who cut down trees and landscaped our yard.

We invited him over one time when we were having some friends over for a BBQ and he showed up with sketch-arse people, one of whom reachedInto the bowl of beans WITH HIS HAND and scooped them into his plate.

He ended up exposing himself to one of my wife's female friends, throwing beer cans all over the front yard he had just mowed the day before and I found out much later; had sex with my MiL in exchange for giving her coke.

All of this is true and that was the last time we used him for yard work
