“That’s a great question. They must just be focusing on the good news.”

Cutting funding did shite to NPR but it killed the local stations who reported local news. They also ran NPR so in a round about way NPR will be killed only because the local stations were killed by the cuts.

I hate NPR...but this is how it actually is going to play out. They'll only loose due to a lack of stations playing them not due to the cuts to NPR specifically.

Wrong-O! NPR gets a lot of it’s funding from the local stations whose subsidies were just cut.

I used to have such a crush on her. She had a battle with cancer and has aged a bit.

Local news? PBS stations have local news? I'm sure the 5 people that watch that will be devastated.

PBS dug this grave. They could have just stayed out of politics and aired British comedies, house and car repair shows, and antique road shows. Instead they had to become a tool of the left and destroyed themselves.

NRP is national. Their federal funding is like 2%.

They'll lose when their very federal funded local pbs radio stations are closed due to being off air due to lack of funds. NPR charges the local pbs stations very low rates to broadcast the NPR shows.

The same locals also broadcast actual local content and that now will not happen.

NPR only loses when these local stations go out of business and they lose their market.
