With what we’ve seen so far, what’s the fan consensus so far? Personally I’m liking Rattler

its the 3rd day of camp.....the fans don't know. Coaches likely have a idea but not the fans.

Out of Shough and Rattler there really isn't much of a sample size as a Pro. We know Haener isn't the guy and a career backup/practice squad player the best he will ever be. We will know alot more after the season. So I would say optimistic.

I'm feeling that any attempts to try to figure out where we stand is just confirmation on who anyone wanted to see get the start anyway.

The stats say this is a tight race, but it's primarily in 7 on 7s and I have seen a lot of checkdowns and short pass plays. We also do not know if the throws they are making were the correct reads, or how they are doing in film session, and which QB has a better understanding of this system

I'll go out on a limb here and say it is clearly a three-way race with the guy the coaches like best eventually winning the starting role.

Which makes me assume that is who you wanted to be the starter before camp started.

Several posters on here said no way Rattler would be the starter and Shough will be given the job regardless….

Sounds like a lot of backtracking

I felt it was unlikely Rattler would be the starter based on the chatter before camp, and I still think it is likely that Shough wins the starting job, but it is far from a given, and it seems less so now, but it is still early in camp.

Eventually, it will be "That is what I thought all along.

Not feeling anything until games start. Until then it’s all BS.

I like that there is an open competition. Should make them all elevate their game and hungry to see the field.

Besides that, I’ll wait until after the pre season starts to see how they look in live action to form an overall opinion.

A second rounder is nothing in terms of QB investment IMO. Obviously you don’t want to give them away, but I don’t think it’s anywhere near enough to prevent rattler from winning the job even if he’s marginally better than Shough.

I think it’s going to be a rough preseason and early season. I think from almost mid-season to the end we see a huge jump and promise.

People are lined up to call it a wasted pic and Tyler a bust if he doesn't start game one.
You can see it coming a mile away lol

Doesn’t mean they aren’t correct. This is a rebuild, it is a waste if he doesn’t start this year given it’s a certainty we’ll pick in top 5 next year.
