Even at 70, Billy Idol is still cooler than all of us

One of the most underrated musicians to come out of the 80s, Billy Idol is still going strong at 70 years old along with his band mate, co-songwriter, and guitarist Steve Stevens
Last year (he was a youthful 69 then) they did a live rendition of Rebel Yell and Eyes Without a Face for Vevo on YouTube. The results were insanely good, possibly even better than his album versions 40 years ago:
Eyes Without a Face:

I strongly suggest to listen to both with quality headphones or speakers
How is this man, who partied as hard as any rockstar, still capable of putting on this much of a quality performance? Watch videos of current Poison, Guns N Roses, White Snake, Def Leppard, etc... any 80s hair band and they look and perform like a band of dying skeletons, gasping for air and clinging onto life while barely mumbling through songs.
Not Billy Idol. I hope I'm even HALF this cool at 70

This is awesome. These guys definitely never grew up and stayed in Never Never Land.

Motorcycle wreck cost him the T-1000 role in T2: Judgment Day. That would have added to the legend of Billy.
ETA: got his nickname when one of his grade school teachers wrote on his report card, “Billy is an idle student.” Talk about flexing on an insult.

Saw him and Joan Jett in Ft Worth at Dickies in May. Joan looks rough, but they both still rock!!

quote:yeah you're right but keep in mind those guys are usually several songs in, running around a much bigger stage and under a million watts of lights.

Billy is one of my favorite 80's artists. He's a bad man.
Bret Micheals is still rocking.

Hey, little sister, what's your vice or wish?
You see, I've been away for so long (so long)
I let you go for so long (so long)
Hey, little sister, shotgun
Oh, it's a nice day to start again
Well, a nice day for a white wedding day
Ooh yeah, a nice day to start again
Yaw!
Pick it up
I said, "Take me back home, yeah"
There ain't nothin' fair in this world, girl
There ain't nothin' sure in this world
There ain't nothin' safe in this world
There ain't nothin' pure in this world
I look for something left in this world

His guitarist, Steve Stevens, still has it, and has been his secret weapon for decades.

He works in HR at an Oracle software spinoff. I’ve met him a couple of times.

Quoting from one of the biographies about Billy
In 1989, Billy Idol threw a three-week-long party in his penthouse at the Oriental Hotel in Bangkok. All the sex, drugs, and property damage eventually prompted the hotel to hit Idol with a $250,000 bill.
But when he still refused to leave, the military had to be called in to corral the British rocker. Idol was shot with a tranquilizer dart and hauled out on a stretcher before he would finally stop partying.
