Sirius/XM announcement of Ozzy's death

About a year ago, the wife and I dropped satellite radio to save a few bucks. I'd always wanted to hear Ozzy's Boneyard's coverage of this day. Curious how they'd do it, and figured it'd be THE place to celebrate him and his music. Wondered if they'd have a bunch of unreleased interviews and other stories between songs.
Kinda feel like I'm missing out.
Anyone have a link to their announcement or anything?

I listened to last night. People were calling in with stories between songs. Jose Manguin or whatever had to tell callers to keep it to the point. It was pretty weepy, to the point of self parody. I felt like I was listening to one of the stations from Grand Theft Auto or something

Yeah, it was kind of bad last night. I turned on Ozzy's Boneyard around 11pm hoping to hear some songs. And it was mostly Jose being weepy and over the hill jabronis telling stories about their first Ozzy concert. One guy had his 8 year old granddaughter call in, because I guess he was too stoned to use the phone. And when he got on the line, he sounded like a 1980s stoner metalhead caricature.
This morning was much better. They've been playing Ozzy and Sabbath songs without much input from the DJ.

Thanks to you and reg above you.
Sounds...disorganized. I appreciate the organic approach of letting normies tell their stories. But Jose losing it... One one hand you don't know how something will hit you until it happens. On the other, how are you caught off guard by this very imminent moment? How does Ozzy's boneyard not have a solid 72 hours of prepared scheduling or prerecordings for this exact moment?
Then again, it shows what a moment this is. Feels like when I've seen a patriarch die and the whole family descends into squabbling and chaos at the damn deathbed. Greece falling apart after Alexander the great died.
The more I think about this, the heavier it gets.

Everyone was caught off guard because NO ONE thought Ozzy was gonna pass away yesterday. Even the musicians who called in and performed at BTTB said Ozzy was in good spirits, he was joking around and laughing, and they all believed he had a few more years left to live. Frank Bello even spoke of his optimism that the original Black Sabbath members had a new spark and could possibly put out 1 last album.
Everyone interviewed, including OBY hosts Jose Mangin and Mark Strigl were in shock and it took several hours to finally hit them that Ozzy was indeed dead. I listened to OBY from 2-6pm yesterday and you could tell Jose was struggling. He went into the studio planning a normal day of programming at the office. When he got the initial call and hundreds of texts, he was in disbelief and thought it was a false rumor. Within 15 minutes of confirming reality, Jose had to totally change the programming format. He started reaching out to musicians and his contacts to schedule live on-air interviews. Jose stated the hardest part was doing all of this by himself. He was able to get through the day with the help of Mark and the listeners who called in.
Live television and radio can get very awkward especially when your blindsided by a tragic event and have to make on-air decisions without preparation, a teleprompter or notes. Jose was very close to the Osbourne family. In fact, Sharon and Ozzy personally called Jose in 2011 and asked him to be the host of OBY.

Most importantly, what did blowhard Eddie Trunk have to say? Did he talk about himself for an hour?

why are you acting like a douche ? Are you always negative and hate everybody ? If this topic isn't for you then move on.
During the time frame I listened, I didn't hear Eddie being interviewed or talk.

I was on my delivery route listening to Turbo when Caity Babs broke in crying. Turned over to Boneyard and Jose was crying. He brought on Dave Ellefson originally from Megadeth and Dave gave a great speech. The lead singer of Living Colour called in to.
David said it best when Back to the Beginning was Ozzy’s celebration of life.

He likely made mention of his new, second residence in Las Vegas. Did you know about that?

For those familiar -- Jim Norton's Doug Bell character has to be somewhat inspired by Eddie Trunk, right??

I was just out with the wife in the car. They were just playing songs, no call ins, not much DJ.

It was very similar to when Neil Peart and EVH passed. Played only their music for a day or two, had other musicians on to talk about them and took a lot of fans calls.
That’s how I found out Neil Peart had died. Got in my car to head to a gig and looked on the radio to see RIP Neil Peart.

Had a long drive today and it was better organized. Lot of old live concert clips with 3 or four songs from each show.
Also segments from interviews he had done over the years.
