Heading to Pensacola next week. My kids are ages 4-13. They are generally well-behaved in restaurants. Looking to dine 1 or 2 nights. Thanks in advance for suggestions.

We've taken our little kids to the Grand Marlin several times, food is solid but a little pricey but there's usually several families there and never felt out of place with kids.
Water Pig BBQ was decent enough, a pretty cool area to hang out, and they had a little beach area where we let the kids play around while waiting on our food.
If you're willing to get off the island Pensacola's downtown area is pretty cool too with a bunch of different options. We went to The Oar House, got a table on the covered deck and the kids watched all the boats go by while we got to have a couple drinks.

Kids dig McGuires with all the money on the wall and hoopla. Food is pretty good too

Joe Patti's has a restaurant near their seafood market. It's pretty good.

We ate at a little place right in the curve to the east of the beach road, in front of the Hampton inn?
Decent food, decent prices, casual, looked like some locals…burgers, wings, fish dishes
Called the sports bar or something. Similiar… more of a restaurant though

Peg Leg Pete's and I think Bird is talking about Sidelines. We tried Sidelines two weeks ago and was decent. Bushwhackers not as good as Peg legs but whose are.

I agree with this. Best dining on the Island IMO

Yes. The steaks are surprisingly good.

I like it. OP should just know that it has sort of a dark and dungeoney feel for a "beach trip" type restaurant. Everything there is good otherwise.

True. The low ceilings and few windows do make it seem dark, but there is so much going on in there to keep kids' attention.
The OP should also be careful about which restroom he is heading into.

Gets me every time and I know it's there

Good point. We’ve always felt it was a cool alternative atmosphere from the beach.

On the mainland, The Fish House is a really cool older place on the bay, not far from the bridge.

Yes. Jaco's, which is just a few blocks south of The Fish House, is also a good option on the bay.

One of my all time favorite dives is Jerry's Drive-In on Cervantes St. They have great burgers, good fried okra, fried mullet, breakfast served all day, cold beer, etc. - they only take cash.
