Louisiana doesn't seem as hot either. I could be wrong, though.

Houston summer has been unbearable last 3-4 years. Finally getting back to something manageable, helps that we’ve had plenty of rain and not in a drought.

It’s not. Two years ago we had highs of 96-100 practically all July and August. We’re headed for an ice age baws.

frick! I've been replacing fencing for the last 4-5 weekends. I start at 7am and drenched in sweat by 8. Louisiana is plenty hot. And August isn't here yet.

It's good to see some numbers to back up how I've felt this summer. My wife and I keep commenting on how bearable the weather has been. As others have said in this thread, the daily afternoon showers seem to be helping a lot.

I walk two miles every day around 2:30 pm , Pete can kiss my sweaty arse.

Actually this year has been quite pleasant compared to others, when I get in my truck it only shows 105 -107 degrees .

Heat index in Bham is going to be 105+ Mon-Weds. This summer has been mild mostly due to a lot of rain in June.

It’s all relative. More rain, lower temps, higher humidity. Less rain, higher temps, lower humidity.

We’ve gotten a lot of rain this year.

With that said 100 degrees in Austin feels infinitely cooler than 95 degrees in Houston.

it's still hot as balls but it's not as far off the norm as the last few years have felt.

I told my wife just last week I thought the summer had been a mild one so far, probably because of all of the rain.

97is feels fine.

It’s because the men in texas drive priuses and electric cars instead of the climate change deniers in Louisiana who drive f250s

Texan men pee sitting down to save water too

I'll take cloudy and 90 degrees in July every year compared to 110 and sunny.

No, we've just been lucky this summer. I've been in Texas for 18 years. The past few summers have been absolutely miserable. Long, 100s stretches starting in June, no rain in sight for weeks or months at a time.

The only reason it has been bearable is because the fricking High Pressure systems that bake us have been moving around and not PARKED right over Texas like it has been the last few years. May - Sept (and October) were pure HELL.

It used to be only August had about 2 weeks of bullshite unbearable heat, but not the last few years. Summers were hot yes but not miserable.

This year has been a blessing and I pray it ls like this more often. Its doable.

Unfortunately I don't think it will be like this summer again.
