Probably the most underrated room in the country . I think Durham leads the team and Jackson/Berry Split reps as RB2 while Lindsey probably provides good depth . Don’t know the situation on Holly but I expect he transfers close sources told me but this room will go as far as our Oline takes them

Berry and Durham make people miss. We'll know vs Clemson with their d line.

Transfers where? Who will take him in his current situation and let him play, and why would he transfer if he can't play anyway?

FCS schools , plenty sure there are plenty of schools who would let him play in his current situation . He’s only facing illegal use of a weapon charge.

Jackson was horrendous last year. Hopefully he improves this year, but touting him as evidence the group is underrated seems odd.

I’ve seen tons of people say it like that. Why is that bothering you so much?

What is the correct wording?

I hate how much “room” is used on this board.

Unfortunately, I think we will miss Josh Williams a lot this year. Durham is very good, but not many backs make it a full year in the sec without some sort of injury. We really need Jackson to lose some weight and improve his vision.
I think the freshman will make some plays this year, but not running between the tackles.

I recall the 'experts' going into 2019 saying the running backs were a weakness.

I’ve seen Berry personally in the last few months. He needs to put on weight but speed kills. Now Durham is a stud.

Durham 80% carries
Berry 20% carries
No other RB needs to come in. Jackson was a huge liability. Can't count how many times he was tackled behind the Center last year. He could not cut it outside. Maybe OC called run up middle, still, you run where they aren't. Not that hard.

Since you’ve done the research, can you give your top 5?

I just said we have an underrated room of running backs . Durham played most of 2024 with dislocated toes , Berry is gonna have to adjust to SEC play but I think he has a solid first year , if Jackson develops into the player he is capable of he can be that power back , and Lindsey can also contribute.

Why are they underrated?

In today’s football, only truly elite RBs really make a difference other than as protection for the QB. I hope we have someone that can pick up the blitz and keep our QB on his feet.

If the blocking is there, average runners are fine. Elite runners sometimes make it happen when the blocking breaks down. Great to have, but been a while since we had someone truly elite.
