But seriously, how do these guys get this high up in organizations and be this retarded? Just make up a bunch of fake expenses if you really want to get paid back. Damn

It is very weird that people go to a strip club on a business expense. Creepy even.

Leon Rose is the GM for the New York Knicks. That guy would bankrupt a weed dispensary at spring break.

In plenty of orgs this wouldn’t even be news. Leadership can justify damn near anything. He was an exec at Booz FFS, it was probably muscle memory to him. It’s more of a no-no for a labor body

$3k in what can be argued were BD expenses isn’t enough to get a guy to resign on its own. That’s reprimand magnitude. I want to know what we don’t know, because if people in the union were clamoring for him to stay and he still chose to roll out, there’s more shenanigans. Possibly Club Shenanigans (RIP)

Yeah some of our BD folks take clienta to strip clubs. But that's because they know management is OK with it. And this is a publicly traded 60+Billiin MC company.

I agree but it is not that odd.

It is how business often was done back in the 80s 90s so all those guys who still do BD often still do stuff there. My dad is an attorney and his clients used to want to do it like weekly so he had an annual pass. My mom just laughed about it because she never cared

The credential-crony economy doesnt produce any real world innovation just tons of financial manipulations and smokescreens.

The guys who get to the top are simply the best at data manipulation. Sure theyre smart etc. Etc. But theyre calibrated towards hyper-efficiency at the expense of everything else.

$3k in atm withdrawals of cash from the company card is absolutely enough to resign at any company, including Booz, McKinsey, BCG, whatever.

This ain’t the 80s

No they don’t

And if they do, they do it on their own dime and make dummy expenses to get paid back. That’s quite literally one of the only things you CANT do… anywhere

This is a typical OT response though

I'm not asking you. I'm not telling you it's the norm. I'm telling you what I've directly been involved in.

Yes, my firm is in the billions and most of my clients are in the billions to hundreds of billions.

No where is it kosher to use the company card at the strip club

0.0% chance you are a CPA for a firm of any size if you find what he says unbelievable

I’ve seen way crazier shite than strip club visits in expense reports. Hell I’ve seen worse tried to be hidden in job cost schedules
