For $2.5 billion, it better put any palace in the Middle East to shame

It's going to be very nice.

Just an FYI, the Federal Reserve gets this money to pay for such things as part of their operating expenses to run monetary policy in the U.S. A policy that was privatized in 1913.

This is probably a good time to remind the folks who know all the words to "Rocky Top" that the Federal Reserve is neither part of the Federal Government of the United States, nor do they hold a single red cent of currency "in reserve".

They are a private corporation that issues an open-ended credit card to its sole client, the US Government. The US Treasury takes out cash advances against this credit card, and the conjured "money" in its current form is known as the "US Dollar".

There is equivalent factual basis for Republic/Imperial Credits in the Star Wars movies as there is for the Federal Reserve Note that masquerades as the Dollar.

I think Trump spoke of this saying they want to hire 1000's to tell Powell how great he is.

Trump said Powell has an easy job. Why does he need to expand like this?

Fake news.

quote:

"There's no new marble," Powell told members of the Senate Banking Committee. "There's no special elevators. They're old elevators that have been there. There are no new water features. There's no beehives and there's no roof garden terraces."

I want to put this into a different perspective. I live in Fresno with a population of 547,000 people. The proposed city budget for 2025 is 2 billion dollars. That's how outrageous this BS with the fed is. There is so much damned waste and excess out there it isn't funny. We have to do better.

Yes - private banks with a monopoly over printing $ to put the US taxpayers into serfdom forever unless you are part of that billionaire class. Only $100 trillion and counting when you add contingent future liabilities. Bonds will have to return - 10% just to pay the Fed interest within 10 years.

The Sphere in Las Vegas cost $2.3 billion to build, according to several sources. This makes it the most expensive entertainment venue ever constructed in Las Vegas, exceeding the previous record held by Allegiant Stadium.

We've developed a degree of blindness to absurdly large numbers over the past decades, and it's only through fatigue of having been exposed to the large numbers generated by the federal government spending like drunken sailors that's responsible.

I heard the restaurant in the Fed Reserve buildings puts the best Restaurant in town to shame. Only the best of everything, and anything you want they will get it. Yeah, it's no charge to the Fed Reserve employees.

Highly recommended education video. Long but worth it.

I heard Too Late Powell installed an artificial beehive. I’d like to see pictures of what this beehive looks like.

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around how a damn building being renovated is more than my entire city budget for a year. Stuff like this should piss off anyone that reads it. We're trillions of dollars in debt and these guys are living it up on our dime.. hell, it really isn't even on our dime. Our great great great grand children are paying for this now.

They can build this for inspiration, but they should be housed in a location reflective of the current financial health of the country. So put them in trap houses until it gets better.
