Trump Claims “Only Really Bad People” Want to Make Epstein an Issue

The gaslighting is so confusing to me. Trump “ran” on exposing these types of conspiracies, and mentioned Epstein specifically several times during the campaign. Yet now he claims this one never existed.
I for one don’t believe there is much to the Epstein files other than what we already know. But to see Trump reverse course so abruptly is perplexing.
For him to now label half of MAGA as “bad people” is even more strange.

It’s not hard man. Trump ran on many things. He realized his fans were behind this so he hyped up something he didn’t know anything about. Now he has to backtrack because there isn’t any bombshell to give. To admit that though is to look like a liar.

His reaction to the reporter was so telling to me. It was his “pay no attention to the man behind the curtain” moment and I think it will haunt him.

Thanks to everyone for highlighting each and every different angle and aspect of the same situation. I hope this hits home and initiates a reaction of putting Democrats into power in both the Executive and Legislative Branches in upcoming elections. You all will be able to take the credit for stopping any further discrimination against immigrants, women and their right to choose, and a child’s right to be who she wants to be from an early age. Keep up the good fight!!

How can you believe this when the official statement released by the Department of Justice on July 6th said this (emphasis on what is in bold):
As part of our commitment to transparency, the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation have conducted an exhaustive review of investigative holdings relating to Jeffrey Epstein.
To ensure that the review was thorough, the FBI conducted digital searches of its databases, hard drives, and network drives as well as physical searches of squad areas, locked cabinets, desks, closets, and other areas where responsive material may have been stored.
These searches uncovered a significant amount of material, including more than 300 gigabytes of data and physical evidence.
The files relating to Epstein include a large volume of images of Epstein, images and videos of victims who are either minors or appear to be minors, and over ten thousand downloaded videos and images of illegal child sex abuse material and other pornography.
Teams of agents, analysts, attorneys, and privacy and civil liberties experts combed through the digital and documentary evidence with the aim of providing as much information as possible to the public while simultaneously protecting victims.
Much of the material is subject to court-ordered sealing. Only a fraction of this material would have been aired publicly had Epstein gone to trial.

Trump created this situation and his refusal to simply say “I lied and said there was something there when there wasn’t” and/or release the files is what’s prolonging this.

Because they played it up like the democrats were hiding something from the American people when they were in power. Bondi was all ready to drop a bombshell if one was found, telling everyone it’s on her desk and we will have it soon. No such cover up was found so they’ve had egg on their face. If they release it they look like liars. So they say nothing is in it, which is true. They hoped it would blow over because it’s the truth but their earlier promises cause up with them. Now people won’t shut up about it and Trump is scrambling to save face as to why there is no bombshell and why it’s not being released.
For the record, I’m not sure Trump was intentionally lying about the case initially. I think he bought the hype from people like Bongino and others. He was duped and is now trying to save face but can’t.

Trump might have talked about Epstein 1% (if that) during his entire campaign. That’s hardly “running” on Epstein.

You didnt even read the part that you chose to highlight
The only images of a man found was Epstein. How did you just gloss over that part. Even after you took the time to highlight it?

He probably believed it like everyone else as it seemed very obvious to be true. This theory is biting us in the arse.
