I know it’s summer league but he’s been playing terrible. I expected him to dominate in his second year of summer league

Do you ever realize that this board and this fanbase discredits a good game in summer league and then goes nuclear over a bad game in summer league? He could have 20 and 10 and people would say “it’s just summer league” and if he has a horrible night or couple of games yall say he sucks?

6-26 fg's within 5' of the basket is really bad for b2b games. Against lesser opponents... That's really bad. SL or no SL that is a true concern for someone we expect to START. And if we are being honest Missi losing 1v1 against non NBA level players that are smaller than him has nothing to do with SL. If he was coming off the bench or depth then fine but the extra criticism is warranted. Nothing we have seen so far should make anyone excited that he's currently our worst starter in possibly the most important position.

If he wasn't starting then I wouldn't give a shite. But right now THAT'S our best option at center and our backups are worse? These are the times I wish I could be blissfully ignorant.

Yves is a rim runner playing with SL guards/wings. They are young and dont know how to set up offense.

He will be fine with Poole/Murray/Zion etc. just like last year.

This is irrelevant. So Missi has to get a perfect pass with no defense to be successful on offense? The dude is arse 1v1, don't make that about other SL players.

He looked like this last SL and made it out alright. If anything we just finally accept that hes probably closer to his ceiling than we want to believe.

Or still a lot closer to his floor. Either way that's not a player you put full trust in.

So you really think Missi had 8 assists and 1 rebound?

I do'nt even need to check the box score to know there's no way that's right.

No offense but I’m gonna pay more attention to how he actually looked in real nba games in the system we actually run and on the team we actually have compared to whatever the hell theyre doing on that court in Vegas.

Is that all he was? Did he show nothing decent? Again, this board and fanbase overreacts to everything. I saw some promise last year from Missi and he’s playing with guys who don’t even deserve to wear an nba uniform. I’m not gonna overreact to a player who showed some promise last year in actual nba games because he had two bad games

Do you actually think Missi standing at the rim with a defender on him is different than what we are running for him this year? What you are referencing is hiding his deficiencies and teammates giving him better passes so he isn't forced to create his own shot. That's actually not a good thing.

If he played the way people expect him to play then we would be talking about running plays through him and setting up the offense for him.

And not convincing ourselves he will be ok once we have good NBA players to help him hide is flaws...

Again, do you really think that Missi would get 8 assists in 1 game? We only had 10 assists in the whole game as a team last night.

Don't you think it's highly more likely Missi would have 8 REBOUNDS, and 1 assist? C'mon man. Besides not being able to read, you should have used common sense to know that you swapped up the rebounds and assists.

switchability on defense. Good/quick feet on that end when guarding at the perimeter

I vowed to never pay attention to SL again a few years ago after Jordan Hawkins looked God Awful but then good in his rookie year.

Then year 2 he looked even worse in SL and unfortunately that carried over mostly to the season.

Hopefully that's not what's happening here.

Hawk year (2) SL showed his mental weakness regardless of on court performance. Missi is just raw so I won't compare the 2. Again the issue is having to rely on him this year, otherwise his development would be fine. We just don't have years for him to have an impact.

needs to go train with Angel Reese. If you are gonna be a big missing 10 shots, you gotta get more than 1 rebound.
