Nope that was his brother Bret and he absolutely wore out LSU pitching in that regional. Bob is their dad, Ray was the grandad. Long line of MLB blood.

I was there.
6 homers in that regional. It was a record at the time (may still be). Nobody could get him out.

Jacques Jones was, I believe, ‘95.
We gave him all kinds of shite in RF. He went back out to his position after hitting his 3rd HR of the game, and we were all bowing down to him.

Aaron played in the 94 regional with Jacques Jones and Geoff Jenkins. They didn’t give as much trouble as Bret did a few years earlier even though Jones hit 3 HRs in the final (Walker hit 2). The wind was whipping out that day.

Jokes on me. I just googled Aaron Boone and he actually is related to Daniel Boone, according to Wiki

I was there. The chants after that 3rd HR were "Transfer! Transfer!"
Was the 1994 regional I believe.

He was a man. He was a big man.

Brett Boone singularly sticks out to me as having given the best all around performance of anyone I ever saw at the regionals. He was a machine.

He's not heavy, he's my brother man.

It was either Brett or Aaron (brothers) and they both played at USC. BTW, they are descendants of pioneer, Daniel Boone.

Was Brettt who went off. I sat next to his dad for every game of that regional. Lots of great stories told that weekend.

From USC Baseball
