Elon showed his petty side. He’s used to getting what he wants.
And technically He’s right because Trump was in the files when he was exonerated by one of the defendants who said he wasn’t on the island. Meaning he wasn’t on the client list.

Those subsidies may go away, but starlink will likely now win the bulk of the BEAD funding that was initially designed for fiber optic cable for national connectivity….that’s a $42B program. The Trump admin NTIA folks changed the rules right BEFORE that tweet by Elon.

Right? Elon has never seen any relevant epstein files. People act like he just plugged in his laptop to white house internet and gained access to all FBI files

I think it is a bit more complicated than that. He knew from day 1 the EV subsidies were getting cut. Which would actually help Tesla because they already were the leader in the industry (sales, production efficiency, etc), it would have hurt everyone else much more.
What changed was deranged violent Democrats committing acts of terrorism on his dealerships and car buyers, tanking his stock and killing demand.
Combined with Congress failing to show any initiative or commitment to enacting DOGE recommendations.
Then maybe the EV subsidies were salt in the wound.
