Whit Weeks is the definition of a true Tiger. In today's era of college football, this kid is an old-school breath of fresh air. His enthusiasm, both on and off the field, is contagious.

quote:
I thank God every single day for allowing me to be an LSU Tiger. It is truly the honor of my lifetime to put on that purple and gold and represent the great state of Louisiana and the great fans. It's an honor that I don't take lightly. I know how passionate our fan base is and I'd be doing them a disservice if I don't go out there every single day and give 110 percent for them.

I really enjoyed listening to him at media days. He got me fired up and it's only mid-July.

Go watch his interview.
It makes you want to run through a brick wall.
Dude is so positive and energetic.
I know the team loves that, but it’s awesome for us the fans too.

That’s the kind of can do attitude that earns the moniker of “fan favorite” in my book
ETA shocked he’s not a Louisiana kid born and raised having said all that but he’s an honorary Louisianan in my book now

What's crazy is I live about 1 mile from where The Weeks brothers (Mettenberger and Max Johnson as well) grew up and played football here in Watkinsville Georgia. Which is essentially Athens GA (UGA football stadium is about 20 minutes away). Oconee County Highschool is surrounded by UGA cattle farms, Agricultural school farms, etc for the most part.
Yet here are kids who played in essentially a rural North East Georgia High School, in the Shadow of UGA's football stadium attending and thriving at LSU..
I kind of compare it to if there was a pipeline from Brusly HS where 5 players committed to and played at UGA.
Its a great thing.

There's been a pipeline of Amite, LA players to Alabama for quite some time too.

Wow, what a great young man, who’s also a great player & leader! Are his brothers cut from the same cloth? If so, great job to the Weeks parents for obviously knowing how to raise some solid young men, with incredibly bright futures! Well done!

Whit Weeks just elevated himself to untouchable status to 97% of LSU fans simply because he mentioned the mythical being known as “God.”
