I didn't read the article, but I was expecting the obvious answer to be that it's because people have become huge, obese, lardasses....

Hey Chat, what’s the number one cause of sleep apnea?
quote:
The number one cause of **obstructive sleep apnea (OSA)** — the most common type of sleep apnea — is **excess weight and obesity**.
Why?
Excess fat around the neck and upper airway can narrow the airway, especially during sleep when the muscles relax. This increases the risk of the airway collapsing and blocking airflow, which causes apneas (pauses in breathing).
Other Common Contributing Factors: **Anatomical structure** (e.g., large tonsils, small jaw, thick neck) *
**Aging**, which reduces muscle tone in the throat *
**Male sex** (men are at higher risk) *
**Alcohol or sedative use**, which relax airway muscles *
**Family history or genetics** *
**Smoking**, which causes inflammation in the airway
Would you like help evaluating whether sleep apnea might be a concern for you or someone you know?

Nothing to do with the explosion of obesity...

I would’ve guessed the clot shot

My first guess was racism.
Climate change? Maybe.
increased CO2>better crop yields>more abundant and cheaper food>more fatties>more sleep apnea.

Climate change and white privilege are the cause of every problem.

More people testing for it increases the cases.

There is no coloration between sleep apnea and obesity......sleep apnea can affect anyone, no mater what their weight or size is

The bold part is 100% false.

Yep, now that people can test at home it’s a lot easier than having to book a night for a sleep study.

Not everyone that has sleep apnea is morbidly obese. Everyone that is morbidly obese has sleep apnea.

You're old, because when I say, "on some real shite," that means I am speaking the truth, you old man, you.

I think my sleep apnea caused my obesity to be honest

If you can't breathe when you sleep...it's cause you are a disgusting tub of lard and not the climate.
People needing ventilators to sleep now and it being accepted as normal blows my mind.
