Unpopular topic to some: who gets #18 this season?

In the NIL era players might be obligated to keep their numbers now more than ever but maybe there’s exceptions.
Garrett Nussmier would be a great option for 18 if he wants it. If for some reason like NIL contracts he is not able to change numbers then who is the next man up?
Perhaps Whit Weeks?

Nuss deserves 18. Heisman Season, and more importantly National Title.

Nussmeier keeps 13 because he’s making money off his jersey being sold. Give it to Weeks and be done with it. They don’t need multiple players wearing 7 and 18.

Last year. Most people who have worn 18 have had good seasons. Chris Curry is really the only exception but it was the COVID season and he battled injuries on top of it

Personally think there needs to be more requirements to actually retire a number. LSU currently has 31 players wearing the numbers 0-19, with 5-9-20 all being off limits.
7 should just go back into the rotation of skill players.

I’m in the minority, but retire the number 18 officially or unofficially and just give an 18 patch to your captain or leader.
Other schools do a C for captain that can just be ours and we move on.
