So he is going to ignore the code and kill people for competition amongst other serial killers?
Will watch but bad form Dexter
They should just do what they originally wanted the ending to be before the original series went off the rails season 5 and beyond
The prequel Dexter sucks. But Deb is mildly entertaining

His “conscience” needs to take the form of a naked Julie Benz in her prime

I’m 15 minutes in and surprised.

Ok huge Dexter fan. Someone please explain to me how Dexter is still alive, not really complaining because I hated how he died in the last season but did they just ignore the fact that he was buried etc ?

I actually really enjoyed Dexter Original Sin, and I thought I was going to hate it.

I sometimes hate the subscription model. Went to watch this on paramount plus. Turns out I need the super special version of paramount plus. The one I get through Walmart+ doesn’t cut it. Went to upgrade temporarily, can’t do it. I have to pay for a whole year. Even tried to go to Amazon and buy the episode and it’s only available though the subscription. Guess they don’t want me to watch it that bad.

Interesting.
I just checked mine, I get my subscription through Amazon, and I can watch it.

Holy shite the cameos in the beginning have me hooked. I like the nod to the original planned ending with all the old run in’s flashing before his eyes.

First two good. Solid start with Bautista showing up trying to nail him. The son is annoying though.
Uma Thurman a nice touch!!!

Should’ve had the son killed off by another serial killer prior to the story.

That alone was worth bringing Dexter back.

I was kind of hoping it wouldn't start this way to be honest. I was wanting Dexter to have a fully clean slate then the whole thing starting over again.

What role does the Uma Thurman character play in this? I guess I looked away for a second. Who is she to the story?

No freaking idea. She breaks into someone's home, finds a hidden trophy stash similar to Dexter's, then leaves an "invitation" for whoever it is. That's the whole scene. I haven't watched the second episode yet so maybe they go into more detail.

The best thing they can do with this property is let Dexter off this leash of wanting to be a "normal citizen". Dexter needs to cut loose and just be a killer of killers. A man who lives on the fringes of society and not one who strives to join the human race. And if they want Harrison to be liked by the fanbase, just have him realize he likes killing bad guys and have him follow in his father's footsteps and gladly join in on the serial killer killing.
