Nice Publix clerk giving helpful advice.

In Publix today and was looking for an item. Several choices, and as I'm reaching grab what I WANT, the Publix clerk standing nearby suggests that there's another brand I might try that's 2 for 1.
Thanks, but I don't care for that brand. So I grab the brand I wanted first.
Then she points out there's a 3rd brand, also on sale, 2-1.
Now those I will buy, at that price. So I grab 2 of those as well. And I thank her for her 'help'.
But wait... she then suggests that I should "Probably put those back" , referring to the brand I had 1st picked up. Because now I had 4 items, not just 2?
I tell her nope, I'll be using them as well. Thanks though.
There were plenty of said item in stock. I wasn't grabbing the last 2 things off the shelf, or even anywhere close. And I did buy what she suggested, unsolicited as it was. So why does she care if I buy 2 different brands? What's it to her anyways?

Maybe she thought you were going to leave it in some random aisle or at the checkout once you realized you still had it, instead of putting it back where you grabbed it from

We were both standing right there, where I had grabbed them. Why would I do that? It would take more effort to not just buy them.
